The Dune House books are great if you’ve read the original Dune first. God, it certainly felt longer. The other problem is that the baddies are very bad and the goodies are very good. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. However, they are great fun to read in terms of fleshing out the Dune universe.

None of the books by Brian can hold a candle to those written by Frank. While wrapping up the story could be considered a good thing, it felt a little redundant. And if you’ve read Dune, you know that none of it matters.

This book is a perfect example of why I’d love for G’reads to add a sixth star to the possibility of ratings. I will read no more of these Herbert-Anderson books.

I do love Irulan like soo much but there is very little information about her in Dune Trilogy and I would like to know if this book since titled as her house could make me know about her more? The chapters are quite short, meaning that you jump around these various subplots quite a bit because every single subplot seems to climax at the same time. Having Paul born on Kaitin added nothing to the story or his character. It would be like a prequel 20, years in the past. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. What matters is sales. I just long to be moved, perhaps to many places at once.

I don’t know if it was just Other Obligations getting in the way, or if this final part of the Prelude to Dune trilogy really was the most difficult to get into.
